Section 1: Why should you create a blog?

 

You might want to create a blog to
blog about something in particular that interests you. Or you might have a blog
for writing purposes or to share your views on a specific topic, or to provide
content for your own website or blog.

 

If you’re starting a blog with the aim of making a money from it then
you need to work out what your potential audience is like. You need to work out
whether there’s any market for what you’re writing about. It’s important to ask
yourself: how much value is my blog providing? How much is it worth to
potential customers?

 

Working out your target audience and value isn’t easy. But it’s
worthwhile. It gives you a basis for all the research that you’re going to have
to do as a blogger. You can do this through a Google search for free.

 

Decide on your blogging platform

 

Well there are several blogging
platforms out there like WordPress.com, Blogger, Type pad, Woo Commerce and
others. You must choose your own unique blogging platform that you can further
develop over the period.

 

Pick your topic and ideate on it

 After choosing your blogging platform, you
must pick your topic, a topic that interests you, that also connects with your
readers. Just brainstorm on the topic and start brainstorming on what you can
write about your blog. If you are not very clear on what you want to write
about, hire a writer. But it’s also a good idea to come up with your own topics
and ideas first.
